Help elementary school students contribute to their communities as part of the 3 Things for Canada Action Squads. Under the direction of Library staff, help younger children take part in small acts of kindness, and older students work towards solving real-world problems in their community following a prescribed project-based approach.
In Action Squads for ages 6-8, young children make a difference in their community by performing acts of kindness. Teen Action Squad Leaders assist with preparation of materials and help the participants as they work on their projects.
In Action Squads for ages 9-12, older students work in teams to research an identified community issue, brainstorm ideas, and implement a solution. Teen Action Squad Leaders help participants to develop and carry out their action plan.
