Librarian On-Call

We are pairing educators with librarians

Need fresh ideas, information, or insight? The Librarian On-Call service brings Library support to your school when you need it. Whether you're a school administrator or educator, or teaching online or in a classroom, we can pair you with one of our knowledgeable staff. We will work with you to identify areas that could benefit from Library support.

How the Librarian On-Call can support you:

  • Virtual outreach into your classroom including book talks, Storytime, media literacy, online research basics, Indigenous education, and more

  • Connect your class to virtual arts and culture experiences, including the Elders' Guidance Circle and the various artists, musicians, writers, and historians in residence at the Library

  • Answer questions about resources for remote learning, including virtual Library field trips and virtual classroom programs

  • Attend virtual staff meetings and PD Days to demonstrate our Digital Library, suggest new reads, and teach you how to access our physical books, virtual programs, tours, and printing
