0 to 12 months
Baby Rhyme Time
This highly interactive oral program for caregivers and babies incorporates rhyme, rhythm, songs and stories with the opportunity to stay, play, and meet other families. Offered in an six-week series for forty-five minutes per week, this program is for babies 0 to 12 months with a parent or caregiver.
6 to 23 months
Pop 'n Tot Time
This program features fun games, books, rhymes, and activities. For male caregivers and their young children aged 6 to 23 months.
13 to 23 months
Parents will learn what books work best for sharing with their child and will learn songs, rhymes, tickles and lullabies. This is a six-week series with each program lasting 45 minutes, for older babies 13 to 23 months with a parent or caregiver.
Two to three years
ABC: You and Me!
This program includes books, oral stories, rhymes, songs and an interactive play time. Geared for toddlers aged two and three years with a parent or caregiver, this 45-minute program is a six-week series.
1-2-3: Count With Me!
This program for toddlers and their parents explores the world of early numeracy. This 45-minute program is a six-week series for children aged two and three years with a parent or caregiver.
Fire Truck Fun
Drop in to enjoy a fire-themed storytime while seated atop the Reading Nook at Central Library's Engine 23 fire truck.
Two to five years
Drop-in Family Storytime
Drop-in Family Storytime includes 30 minutes of stories, rhymes and fingerplays for two-to-five year olds with a parent/caregiver.
Fire Truck Storytime
Drop in for a special Engine 23 storytime at Central Library.
Read with Engine 23 (and a Fire Fighter!)
Drop in and join a Calgary Fire Department firefighter for a special family storytime. (For all ages.)
Four to five years
Words and Wiggles
This program includes 30 minutes of books, rhymes, songs and information about play, followed by 15 minutes of play time in the Library’s play area. This program is a six-week series for children aged four and five years with a parent or caregiver.
