Archaeological Society of Alberta: Utilizing Tooth Enamel from Extinct Megafauna to Date the Earliest Occupations at Rimrock Draw Rockshelter

Learn more about the recent advances made in radiocarbon dating chemistry. Through its use on Camelops and Bison tooth enamel fragments recovered from late Pleistocene alluvial deposits at Rimrock Draw Rockshelter in Oregon- youngest dates to Clovis occupations elsewhere in North America; the older pre-date Clovis by 5000 years or more!
