Looking for fun, free programs to attend with your baby, toddler, or preschooler? Calgary Public Library offers a variety of early learning programs for parents and caregivers with youngsters ages five and under. Our programs, delivered by both Library staff and external experts, are educational, social, and a lot of fun. This winter, our lineup includes Busy Bookworms, Baby Rhyme Time, Baby’s Big Playdate, 1-2-3: Count With Me, A-B-C: You and Me, Engineer for Preschoolers, Waiting for Santa, and Words and Wiggles. - Bounce and Roll
Ages 3 to 5 with a parent/caregiver
See what happens when you bounce and roll different types of balls in this energetic discovery of physics. In partnership with Let's Talk Science. Registration is required.
- Busy Bookworms
Ages 13 to 23 months
Play, explore, and share stories and songs in this active program for older babies. This program is offered as both a registered and drop-in program.
- Colossal Calgary Playdate
Ages up to 3 with a parent/caregiver
Play builds the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Come prepared to play with your baby or toddler at the biggest and best playdate ever. Registration is not required.
- Jingle Bell Babies
Ages 6 to 23 months with a parent/caregiver
Celebrate the festive season with stories, songs, and finger plays especially for babies. This program is offered as both a registered and drop-in program.
- Sign Language for Babies
Ages 6 to 12 months with a parent/caregiver
Communicate and bond with your child before he or she can speak by learning basic ASL signs together. Registration is required.
