Looking for fun, free programs to attend with your baby, toddler, or preschooler? Calgary Public Library offers a variety of early learning programs for parents and caregivers with youngsters ages five and under. Our programs, delivered by both Library staff and external experts, are educational, social, and a lot of fun. In addition to our regular program offerings, including Baby Bookworms, Baby Rhyme Time, Baby’s Big Playdate, 1-2-3: Count With Me, A-B-C: You and Me, and Words and Wiggles, check out these fresh fall programs:
- Babies Go Boo!
Ages 6 to 23 months with a parent/caregiver
Dress up your baby and celebrate Halloween with stories, rhymes, and songs. This program is offered as both a registered and drop-in program.
- Sign Language for Babies
Ages 6 to 12 months with a parent/caregiver
Communicate and bond with your child before he or she can speak by learning basic ASL signs together. Registration is required.
- Colossal Calgary Playdate
Ages up to 3 with a parent/caregiver
Play builds the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Come prepared to play with your baby or toddler at the biggest and best playdate ever. Registration is not required.
- Bubbling Potions
Ages 3 to 5 with a parent/caregiver
Join Mad Science for this highly visual and interactive workshop with exciting dry ice demonstrations and more. Registration is required.
- Engineering for Preschoolers
Ages 4 to 5, independent of a parent/caregiver
Uncover the fun in STEM learning through hands-on engineering activities. In partnership with Engineering For Kids. Registration is required.
