Giant Lite Brite Tours Calgary Library Locations in 2020

A Giant Lite Brite by artist Cory Nespor is visiting libraries across Calgary in 2020 through a partnership with Light Up The World (LUTM), a local non-profit.

The installation is a large-scale version of Lite Brite, a glowing and interactive canvas where adults and kids can learn and play reminiscent of the classic toy.

Two local non-profits, Light Up The World (LUTW) and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) partnered to bring to life this interactive game that was showcased at Beakerhead in September 2019.

“Being at the Calgary Library is a unique opportunity for us to engage further with our community and other local organizations, and to get people thinking about the importance of light and how access to energy can change people’s lives!” says Christoph Schultz, Executive Director of LUTW.

Learning is more fun while playing, especially if we all play together. To reinforce this concept of community, the giant game will invite Calgarians of all ages to play interacting with light, colors and pixels and creating images, patterns or messages with their imagination.
