The media accreditation request form for the Calgary Public Library’s new Central Library doors opening activities is now live. The Calgary Public Library welcomes all media who want to cover the highly anticipated opening of this new, world-class Library to submit a form, and we will do our best to accommodate all interest. Media accreditation priority will be given to journalists, videographers, producers, and photographers on assignment for daily newspapers, magazines and weekly newspapers, television affiliates, approved and well-established websites, and wire services.
In order to be considered for a media credential, a journalist must:
- Have completed the media accreditation request form by Friday, October 26.
- Be a current, working journalist, photographer or videographer for a recognized local, national or international media outlet on assignment for the event.
- All freelance photographers, videographers, writers or Internet reporters must provide written confirmation from the assigning editor (with his/her contact name and information) detailing the assignment.
Please note that you will also need to upload a current photo of every individual seeking accreditation.
We will inform you no later than October 30, 2018, to confirm the credentials and explain how, when, and where media events related to the opening will commence.
