Drop-In Assistance

Drop in for free, one-on-one help to prepare and EFILE your 2017 or prior year’s tax returns, in partnership with the Financial Empowerment Collaborative and First Lutheran Church. Please note the eligibility requirements based on income, and a simple-tax situation below.

No registration is required. See the dates, times and locations for first-come, first-served assistance.

Eligibility Requirements

Family Size Total Family Income
One person $30,000
Two people $40,000
Three people $42,000
Four people $45,000
Five people $47,000
More than five people $47,000 plus $2,500 for each additional person

In general, your tax situation is simple if you have no income or if your income comes from these sources: employment, pension, benefits such as CPP, disability, CCB, EI, social assistance, RRSP, support payments, scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or grants, interest (under $1,000).
