National Child Day is celebrated every year on November 20 to commemorate our country’s commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The theme this year is "It's Our Right to Belong." When children know that they are valued and respected as part of a family, school, and community it helps them develop a positive sense of self, and helps them reach their full potential.
Bring your family to the Library on National Child Day for fun crafts and storytimes and foster that important sense of belonging and celebrate our most precious resource, our children! No registration is required. Then, take some stories about belonging home to share with your child.
