On Friday January 27, celebrate Family Literacy Day by taking the nation-wide Read for 15 Challenge and help Calgary become Canada's most "readerly" city!
Step 1: Read ANYTHING for 15 minutes (a book, ebook, graphic novel, your Twitter feed, snowblower instructions, etc.) Reading to a child, your Great-Aunt Mildred, or anybody else counts, too. (Get great reading suggestions from our new Great Reads for 2017 reading guide!)
Step 2: Let us know! Tell us what you read on Facebook (post on our page), Twitter, or Instagram (tag @calgarylibrary and use #Readfor15yyc) or use the form below to report your reading anytime between 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on January 27.
The community with the greatest percentage of the population who Read for 15 will claim the title!
But don't stop there... Keep on reading all year and enter our Read 150 Reading Challenge to win monthly prizes!
That’s it! Take the Read for 15 Challenge and show Canada just how "readerly" a city Calgary really is!
