Computer Technology


Help patrons gain skills in navigating the Internet, using online email applications and working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint in these one-on-one drop-in sessions.

Program Goals

Provide access to computers and support with computer technology.
Enhance computer technology skills.
Increase awareness and use of library resources, services and programs.


Fall  Winter  Spring  Summer
1.5 to 2 hour programs
Times vary depending on location.

Strong computer technology skills
Strong listening and communication skills
Flexibility and strong problem-solving skills
Able to work effectively with diverse populations

Volunteer Responsibilities

Attend an orientation and training session
Help participants learn and practice basic computer skills
Participate in the program for a minimum of one year


An online orientation package and an on-site training.


Meet new people and explore new opportunities.
Help individuals to develop their computer technology skills.
Have fun and contribute to your community.
Develop interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, communication and time management skills
