OVERVIEW

Use your musical skill to help aspiring and beginner musicians individually and in small groups as they learn to play a musical instrument.

PROGRAM GOALS

Support participants in learning to play a musical instrument
Help to build community among musicians
Assist in maintaining the instruments within our lending library
Increase awareness and use of library resources, services and programs

Fall / Winter / Spring / Summer

One and a half hour program
Dates and times vary depending on location

VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced performance skills on a musical instrument
Strong facilitation skills
Positive communication and interpersonal skills

VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend an orientation and training session
Support program goals
Coach participants individually or in small groups on the use of musical instruments
Provide encouragement to participants
Ensure a positive, comfortable and fun learning environment
Positively interact with members of all ages
Assist in maintaining the instruments within our lending library
