Wayfinding

What will you do?

Library Ambassador volunteers greet patrons, make them feel welcome and help them get to where they are going within Central Library.

Program Length: Three-hour shift maximum

Volunteer Qualifications

  • Able to work independently
  • Fluent in English 
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Enjoys learning new things and sharing their knowledge
  • Enjoys interacting with all types of people
  • Able to move about the building for the duration of their shift

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Attend an orientation and training session
  • Greet patrons and help them find their way within Central Library
  • Speak to patrons about the great spaces in Central Library
  • Share Library information such as maps and brochures
  • Interact with stakeholders in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Abide by the Volunteer Standards of Conduct
