Historic Calgary Week 2024: Flags, Firehalls and Firemen

Fire influenced Calgary’s development. The first firehalls were hotspots of community activity, and early firefighters fanned the flames of political, musical, and sporting pursuits. Shari Peyerl will introduce you to members of the Fire Department, including the fiery Chief, the trailblazing woman, and the fighting firemen of the First World War.
