Historic Calgary Week 2024:WWII Canadian Red Cross Quilts: The Return Home

Six-year-old Robin recalls his family home bombed and his mother wrapping him in a Canadian Red Cross quilt. Canadians sent 400,000 comfort quilts to Britain during the WW II. As these quilts resurfaced, the Canadian Red Cross Quilt Research Group was formed. In 2023, 64 quilts were returned to Canada, with the stories of the recipients.
