Historic Calgary Week 2024: Calgary Public Library: Books, Belonging, and Building Community Since 1912

Annie Davidson campaigned for Alberta’s first public library. Alexander Calhoun devised to support an educated, inspired public. Today CPL welcomes, inspires, and supports Calgarians via numerous programs, partnerships, and initiatives. Leanne Hooper, Calgary’s Story Librarian, talks about CPL’s growth from 1912 to today’s 21 community libraries.
