Recognizing Staff Members for Love Your Library Day

There are many ways Calgary Public Library impacts our community. Our locations are spaces where we can learn, gather, and connect. These spaces provide endless possibilities.

While the Library’s programs and services are an integral part of our community, we know there’s something else that makes our spaces feel special — it’s our people. There are over 800 staff across the city who are always ready to help you find your next favourite book, print your resume, or read to families at storytimes. We know these small moments can make a big difference.

Calgary Public Library is hosting its annual Love Your Library Day on Saturday, October 26 in celebration of the members and staff who make our locations a wonderful place to visit. Everyone is invited to visit any of the Library’s 22 locations for a day of storytimes, musical performances, games, crafts, special activities, prizes, and more. Learn more about the festivities on our website.

Ahead of Love Your Library Day on October 26, we are excited to highlight staff at our locations celebrating anniversaries this year. If you visit Bowness, Judith Umbach, Country Hills, Crowfoot, Louise Riley, or Seton libraries, you may recognize some of these friendly staff members!
