Help foster literacy in your community by sharing early literacy basics with parents and kids up to age five at the Library’s Early Learning Centres. Volunteers, both singly or in pairs, set up and engage families in early literacy activities, facilitate play activities, clean and organize toys in the space, and support staff as needed.
At Central Library, there are three different areas where Play Champions volunteer: Early Learning Centre (preschool-age children), Questionarium (school-age children), and Collaborative Tech Space (school-age children).
Program Length: Two-or three-hour program, depending on location
